This playful handwritten typeface captures the warmth of sketched letterforms without feeling rough or unrefined. Minou, created by Hanoded, brings a sketch-like charm that feels both childlike and intentional, drawing from hand-drawn origins while maintaining consistent letterforms throughout the alphabet.

The font shines for children's board books, craft market labels for handmade goods, custom vinyl wall decals in nurseries, and greeting cards with a personal touch. Its rounded forms and organic line weight give it natural appeal for toy packaging, event posters for kids' birthday celebrations, school craft fairs, or weekend game nights. The letterforms retain enough of the hand-drawn mark to prevent layouts from feeling stiff or mechanical, yet remain clean enough for legibility in small sizes and dense designs. That balance is harder to achieve than it looks.

What makes Minou work is its restraint. It leans into warmth without veering into cutesy territory that dates quickly or feels saccharine. The consistent baseline and proportions make it surprisingly versatile for layouts that might have seemed risky with a handwriting style. Pair Minou with a clean, minimal sans-serif like Montserrat or Lato to balance its personality when body text needs to share the page.
