Milanette is a collection of 74 ornamental vignettes created by calligrapher Lyudmila Mikhailova for ParaType. These delicate flourishes capture the lightness and movement of hand-drawn embellishments, giving them a personal, carefully considered quality that mass-produced dingbats often lack. Each design feels like a small composition in itself, balanced and expressive, full of detail that rewards close inspection. What sets these apart is the genuine restraint in Mikhailova's approach. Every curve and flourish carries intention, a reflection of her calligraphic training and deep attention to form.

The vignettes shine wherever you need visual breathing room and quiet sophistication. Book designers choose Milanette for setting poetry collections or literary fiction that calls for refined decoration between sections. Luxury packaging for jewelry, perfume, and high-end skincare benefits enormously from these ornaments, which read as intentional and curated rather than decorative filler. They work equally well adorning wedding invitation suites, adding understated elegance without overwhelming the text itself. Magazine spreads and editorial layouts use these flourishes to guide the eye and break up columns with grace.

Milanette suits designers and publishers working on projects where restraint and visual quality matter more than bold impact. It's a resource for work that needs ornament without noise. Find it on Creative Fabrica with complete access to the glyph set.
