Picture designing a bold comic book cover where every narrative beat matters as much as the visuals. That's exactly what MEANWHILE was built to handle. Comicraft's John Roshell designed this font specifically to tell the rapid-fire stories of Marvel's Avengers and Fantastic Four, where time shifts dramatically between panels and action flows without pause.

This decorative typeface thrives in any project demanding visual storytelling power. Comic book lettering, especially dialogue balloons and caption work, is where MEANWHILE feels most at home. Graphic novel covers and retro action movie titles gain an immediate punch of energy. It's equally strong for comic convention signage, vintage poster designs, video game titles and movie credits, and fan art with that classic comics flavor. The chunky letterforms and rhythmic flow command attention at large sizes, yet still stay legible when smaller.

The Feb 2019 remaster brought serious upgrades for professional lettering work. Spacing and kerning were refined for better flow, the Bold weight adds emphasis options, and you get decorative fireflies (special ornamental glyphs) for extra visual interest. Cyrillic character support and the Crossbar I Technology expand your styling flexibility. Pick up MEANWHILE on Creative Fabrica and bring authentic comic book storytelling into your designs.
