Matahati by Locomotype is a modern calligraphic script with expressive swashes and decorative ornaments crafted for sophisticated design work. The typeface bridges contemporary design sensibilities with hand-drawn warmth, making it well-suited for projects that demand genuine character and intentionality rather than generic or template-driven styling.

The font includes a comprehensive set of OpenType features including ligatures, stylistic alternates, regular swashes, and terminal swashes that give you real control over how letters combine and embellish each other in your work. These technical capabilities mean you can customize letterforms and ornamentation across an entire project without sourcing multiple font files to achieve meaningful visual variety. Everything you need is built into a single typeface, so the investment covers the widest range of design applications without additional purchases.

This script performs exceptionally well on wedding invitation suites, luxury gift packaging, personalized stationery, and event program designs. Calligraphic typefaces deliver their best impact when your work needs personality and hand-drawn charm in formal or celebratory contexts. The swash options and stylistic alternates help you maintain consistency across numerous pieces without the lettering feeling mechanical or repetitive in appearance. Get Matahati on Creative Fabrica and experiment with those swash combinations in your next design project.
