Picture a faded vinyl record sleeve from the 1970s, where hand-drawn letters sprawl across cream-colored cardboard. That's the spirit Los Lana Pro captures. Created by Latinotype designer Luciano Vergara, this display typeface feels handmade because it truly was, with each letter individually crafted rather than assembled from shared building blocks. The result? Characters that breathe and move in their own way while maintaining visual unity through their irregular, angular strokes.

The typeface channels a rustic, bohemian energy rooted in Andean handmade traditions. Don't mistake the lack of traditional curves for stiffness, though. Vergara's deliberately angled lines create the illusion of flowing forms, giving text warmth without resorting to ornate swashes or unnecessary flourishes. It shines on vintage album cover lettering, bohemian wedding invitations, artisanal product labels, and retro festival posters where that deliberately imperfect touch makes all the difference.

Los Lana Pro really comes into its own when given plenty of space, performing best at display sizes where its character and quirks become assets rather than distractions. The typeface packs ligatures, two complete sets of alternate characters, and specially designed titling capitals, plus broad language support covering Western European, Turkish, Romanian, and Pan-African scripts.
