Impending Disaster from designer Hanoded carries a sketchy, hand-drawn quality that jumps out in every single letter. Created using Chinese ink applied with a broken tapas skewer, the typeface has that deliberately rough, comic book aesthetic. Expression and movement matter more here than refinement or geometric precision.

Two sets of alternate letterforms exist for the lowercase alphabet, rotating as you type to add visual variety without changing fonts mid-stream. You also get stylistic variants for the letter O and all its accented companions, plus alternates for the ampersand, asterisk, question mark, exclamation mark, and numerals. This setup gives you real flexibility when composing sentences and headlines. Language support reaches well beyond what you'd expect from a decorative typeface, with full coverage for Vietnamese, Greek, and Sami included alongside the standard Latin set.

Comic strip lettering and graphic novel dialogue work naturally with this typeface, as do bold poster campaigns and hand-drawn packaging designs. Retro book covers, illustrated merchandise labels, storyboard titles, and sketchy branding all shine when paired with this face. Rough edges read as intentional when the type commands space in your layout. Find Impending Disaster on Creative Fabrica to add it to your collection.
