This font exudes playful nostalgia and tongue-in-cheek humor. Fun Signs JNL is Jeff Levine Fonts' charming dingbat collection, inspired by actual novelty signage from the Koehler Sign Company, a St. Louis manufacturer famous for their humorous cardboard placards in the 1930s.

The collection contains twenty-six distinctive characters, each drawn from archived stock imagery of jokes and witty remarks that shop owners displayed to entertain customers or gently mock their business practices, from credit policies to opening hours to the general retail chaos of a typical workday. Original placards featured white lettering on blue backgrounds, a color combination that still works beautifully in digital designs. These signs belong on retro bar and restaurant menu designs, vintage apothecary label suites, artisan packaging for small-batch goods, and hand-lettered social media graphics with real personality. They're equally effective as decorative borders in greeting card designs or as quirky markers in DIY craft signage. The nostalgic energy is infectious, making readers pause and smile at the obvious humor.

Pair Fun Signs JNL with a neutral sans-serif like Montserrat to let these character-driven shapes remain the focal point while maintaining readability throughout your layout. You'll find it waiting on Creative Fabrica, ready to bring knowing, nostalgic humor to your next project.
