Dékó by ingoFonts is a geometric construction that treats each letter as a self-contained graphic icon rather than traditional typography. Born from the visual logic of Art Deco, De Stijl, and Constructivism, it arranges stark linear forms into square units where letterforms become almost abstract. The result is something between a typeface and a collection of modular symbols, each one reading more as a minimalist emblem than a character you'd expect in body text.

The font actually comes as two matching variants: Dékó Blakk renders the positive form while Dékó Yello provides the inverse. Stack them together and each letter becomes a complete square with distinct foreground and background layers that interact with striking visual effect. This dual-layer capability opens up graphic possibilities beyond what a single typeface could offer, letting you control depth and visual intensity by deciding how to combine the two.

Designers building modernist poster campaigns, gallery opening invitations, luxury fashion brand marks, or retro vinyl record packaging will find Dékó speaks the right visual language. Its rigid geometry and clever layering system make it especially valuable for creating identity systems where every element needs to function as both a letterform and an ornamental object.
