CA Negroni by Cape Arcona Type Foundry is a bold display face rooted in early 20th century advertising typography, particularly the expressive character you see in designers like Wilhelm Deffke. What makes it work in 2026 is that despite honoring those historic influences, the typeface reads as fully contemporary, so you can use it without leaning into pure nostalgia.

The font excels on speakeasy cocktail menus where you need some Art Deco swagger, vintage poster compositions that demand weight and presence, art deco event invitations, and retro brand identity systems. It commands attention on editorial headlines and craft product packaging too, giving you character without sacrificing any legibility. You get Central European language support built in, and two stylistic sets let you swap alternative letterforms to shift the mood whenever you need a different angle.

Where this typeface really delivers is the three complete styles: Normal (appearing in Light, Black, and Fill weights), Inline, and Round. They share the same core proportions but each carries its own atmospheric personality. This flexibility means you can explore multiple design directions within a single typeface, without hunting for complementary fonts to round out your toolkit. Get it from Creative Fabrica and start bringing that advertising heritage into your work.
