Brokolino Display by Marco Battaglia blends humanist calligraphy with 1970s type sensibilities to create something that reads genuinely modern and at the same time warmly nostalgic. The full family pairs five text weights with three display weights, each accompanied by its own matching italic. This structure gives you real control over weight and color across everything from dramatic headlines all the way down to body copy. The display weights push personality hardest, leaning fully into that playful, hand-drawn character that works beautifully for food packaging, retro brand guidelines, editorial magazine spreads, and small-batch product labels where authenticity and craft matter.

The italics are true italics with variable angles spanning 11 to 14 degrees, reinforcing the calligraphic foundation throughout the system. Lighter weights showcase humanist serifs that taper gradually alongside a generous x-height, which establishes thoughtful letterform logic. The heavier weights compress these same qualities into denser texture and tighter spacing without sacrificing character or readability. Extended Latin support keeps the language coverage broad, and you get a genuinely useful OpenType toolkit: ligatures, alternates, and swashes that enhance rather than overwhelm.

If you're after a typeface with real personality and that designed-by-hand feeling, Brokolino Display deserves a spot in your toolkit. Grab it on Creative Fabrica.
