Picture a vintage whiskey label demanding attention on a dimly lit bar shelf, or a medieval-inspired game poster catching eyes in a convention hall. Blacher, created by Burntilldead, is a blackletter typeface that sits at the intersection of historical gravitas and contemporary readability. The design keeps the formal weight and drama of gothic scripts without abandoning clarity, making it work for projects that need serious character without sacrificing legibility.

Constructed with precision, its letterforms feel both authoritative and refined, offering practical applications across several design areas. Game titles and cinematic credits, album covers for metal or experimental bands, vintage whiskey and craft product labels, and fantasy novel covers all benefit from its presence. Boutique skincare packaging, limited-edition Etsy product labels, and DIY medieval-themed event signage are other strong fits. You get a full alphabet in both uppercase and lowercase, working numerals, multilingual support, and alternates plus ligatures that let you refine your choices as the project develops.

Blacher comes in two versions: the clean Regular weight and the grittier Inkbleed variant. Each is available in both OTF and TTF formats for maximum compatibility. The alternates give you flexibility to avoid repetition in headlines or branding applications. Get Blacher on Creative Fabrica and add this architectural blackletter to your toolkit.
