This slab serif hits with the kind of bold, unapologetic punch you see in old arcade cabinets and vintage sports advertisements. Andest, designed by Indotype Foundry, uses heavy block-like letterforms and distinctive ink traps to command immediate attention and add real sculptural depth to each character. The design walks a smart line between retro nostalgia and contemporary boldness.

The typeface speaks the language of throwback design with real conviction. Use it for vintage deli and diner branding, retro bar signage and nightclub identity, concert poster layouts, boxing gym logos, and tattoo shop work. Its substantial weight carries headlines solo or anchors a logo with genuine confidence and visual impact. At large display sizes the ink traps become a true design feature in themselves, catching light and adding intentional texture throughout your layout. The rightward and leftward italic versions give you compositional flexibility without needing multiple font files, opening creative possibilities in single-typeface designs.

Pair Andest with a clean, geometric sans-serif for body text or smaller captions, and you'll get a dynamic contrast between bold display and quiet utility that works hard for your layout. Grab it on Creative Fabrica and make it the hero of your next project.
