The letterforms in this typeface come razor-sharp at first glance, then soften on closer inspection, creating an aged aesthetic that reads clearly at any size. This is Amortem, a blackletter from Wingsart Studio that straddles the line between romantic and menacing. The design has captured that Gothic tension perfectly, letting you use it for work that needs both elegance and darkness.

The font comes in both standard and drip versions, each offering four stylistic alternatives: Regular, Diamond, Heart, and Skulls. You can dial the romance up for wedding invitation suites and luxury event cards, or crank the dread for horror movie posters and dark fantasy book covers. Numerals, punctuation, and multilingual support all come included, making it genuinely useful for real typesetting work.

This is the typeface for designs that need to work across Valentine's Day and Halloween, where sentiment and shadow share the same space. You'll reach for it for speakeasy cocktail menus, boutique perfume packaging with gothic character, paranormal romance book jackets, seasonal Halloween signage, and vintage-inspired album art. Built for designers who understand that the best typefaces hold multiple truths at once, Amortem delivers that balance. Find it on Creative Fabrica.
