This is a font that whispers of vintage horror with genuine playfulness, letting the campy side shine through. Altogether Ooky, designed by Comicraft's John Roshell, brings gothic sensibility to projects that need to feel just slightly unsettling. Originally created for The New Addams Family television series, it captures that ideal balance of spooky and fun that makes macabre design feel engaging rather than grim.

The font works brilliantly for Halloween party invitations that need authentic monster-movie atmosphere, gothic wedding suites for couples who embrace the darker aesthetic, horror film poster designs, and haunted house event flyers that demand instant character and presence. Its distinctive letterforms have enough visual weight to stand alone as a headline font, making it ideal for projects where mood and impact matter far more than clean readability.

Pair Altogether Ooky with a clean, modern sans-serif like Roboto or Open Sans whenever you need solid body text, letting the decorative typeface take center stage without overwhelming readers with too much personality. The contrast between its theatrical, expressive style and straightforward typography creates a design that feels carefully considered and visually balanced.
