There's real authority here: ornate strokes with an unexpectedly contemporary finish. Wahoobomex, designed by Alit Design, is a blackletter typeface that bridges historical tradition with modern design sensibility without sacrificing readability.

The 785-character set covers extensive language support and includes ligatures plus alternate glyphs that let you adjust the texture and personality of your text. This control matters more than you might expect when you're working with display typefaces. You'll find it working beautifully on high-end wedding invitation suites where elegance takes priority, vintage-inspired band posters that need authentic gothic weight, boutique skincare and product packaging labels, and formal certificate designs where you need real substance without veering into pure decoration. The alternates give you genuine options for how formal or loose the letterforms feel, and that flexibility becomes valuable when working with blackletter across different scales and contexts. The typeface renders cleanly in both digital and print applications, so your output stays sharp regardless of medium.

Pair Wahoobomex with a clean, light sans-serif for body copy to maintain readability where it matters most. Pick it up on Creative Fabrica in OTF, TTF, and WOFF formats.
