Picture yourself laying out a wedding invitation suite or designing labels for artisanal candles. Sonia, created by Pukka De, is a slab serif that brings a modern, approachable warmth to these projects. The font's sturdy serifs and rounded forms work particularly well on invitation cards, product packaging, and boutique branding where visual personality matters more than corporate formality. Its character carries through at large display sizes without feeling heavy or crude, making it equally comfortable in compact logo work or sprawling poster designs. The friendly geometry suggests craft and care rather than corporate stiffness or impersonal mass production.

This font shines brightest where you need something that reads as both contemporary and tactile. Greeting card suites, handmade goods packaging, and indie publisher covers all benefit from Sonia's balance of structure and charm. Its weight feels present without overwhelming, so it holds its own alongside photography or illustration without dominating the overall composition. For those working on children's book design or playful business stationery, the typeface strikes that rare middle ground between design-forward and immediately approachable. Sonia works at headline scale and remains legible in smaller contexts, giving you real flexibility across different layout sizes.
