Imagine a band's logo so visually aggressive it demands attention on a dark stage or vinyl cover. Shrivel, designed by Denustudios, is a blackletter display font built for exactly this kind of impact. The typeface combines razor-edged letterforms with an organic, distressed structure that reads as intentionally broken rather than merely stylized. Those twisted spines and irregular proportions aren't accidents; they're the entire design philosophy, creating visual chaos that feels raw and unpolished.

This font works exceptionally well for black metal band logos, death metal album covers, horror movie title sequences, and grindcore poster art. The intensity translates just as effectively to streetwear graphics, tattoo lettering, and band merchandise labels. You'll deploy it across vinyl artwork, concert flyers, and t-shirt designs to deliver that uncompromising visual edge. Shrivel includes five alternate styles, giving you flexibility to vary letterforms across repeated characters or build visual complexity into longer typographic treatments.

At large display sizes, the distressed edges and aggressive letterforms create an almost tactile roughness that's genuinely difficult to ignore on screen or in print. That roughness is exactly what you need when a design has to grab attention immediately. Find Shrivel on Creative Fabrica and bring that underground metal aesthetic to your darkest design work.
