Shamu by Bambin is a retro slab serif that captures the groovy spirit of the 1970s mixed with early 2000s style. The font's chunky serifs and characterful letterforms bring genuine personality to branding projects, from vintage thrift store logos to groovy cafe menus, vinyl record artwork, and retro event posters. Its quirky, handwritten quality sits perfectly alongside clean typography, making it work beautifully for display headlines, product packaging, social media graphics, and anywhere you need that nostalgic energy to really land.

The slab serif construction gives Shamu real weight and presence on the page without feeling heavy or forced. This is the type to reach for when you need genuine attention, not trendy effects or visual gimmicks. Hippie market signage, boutique record store branding, vintage band merchandise designs, and retro cafe packaging all come alive with this font's confident, unpretentious character. The letterforms read as playful yet legible, which is harder to achieve than it might sound. You get both warmth and readability in one typeface.
