Scaramouche by Fenotype is a playful connected script brimming with genuine charm and energy. The family includes three weights plus matching ornament sets, giving you layers of flexibility to work with. You can layer different versions of the letterforms, stack weights for visual depth, or build an entire visual system around one unified script. Wedding invitation suites are naturals for this style, taking advantage of its decorative flow and personality. The same energy translates beautifully to Etsy product labels, hand-poured candle branding, or boutique skincare packaging where a personal touch matters.

Beyond the core letterforms, Scaramouche includes extensive alternate characters accessed through OpenType features (Swash, Contextual, and Stylistic alternates). Most design programs support these features, so you can customize the look of individual letters or swap in decorative versions to match your composition. That flexibility means a single project can feel entirely fresh by varying which characters you use. The connected flow remains stable across all three weights, so you can confidently scale from delicate headlines down to supporting text without rebalancing your design.

The ornament sets deserve their own mention since they pair so naturally with the letterforms, giving you built-in elements for event menus, DIY craft signs, or hand-lettered product branding. Whether layering swashes or adding decorative flourishes, this family rewards experimentation. Grab Scaramouche on Creative Fabrica to start working with its playful potential.
