Rose Thorns, created by putracetol, is a distressed blackletter typeface with jagged, weathered letterforms that evoke both classical gothic and contemporary metal aesthetics. The broken edges and worn texture give it an inherently aggressive character that commands attention on dark designs without needing additional effects or layering to make impact.

This typeface excels in edgy applications where raw, unpolished energy is non-negotiable. Band merchandise graphics, death metal album covers, horror movie title sequences, and grindcore band logos all benefit from the typeface's intrinsic visual bite. The distressed quality also translates beautifully to grungy apparel designs where the degradation itself becomes part of the brand story, rather than something to hide or minimize. Distressed vintage band t-shirt graphics and dark record label logotypes both signal authenticity and edge through this typeface's character. It works for anything that benefits from looking intentionally worn and deliberately hostile.

Rose Thorns is best suited for creative professionals building visual identities in alternative music, tattoo culture, dark fashion, and horror-adjacent branding. Vinyl covers, underground venue posters, goth apparel lines, and leather goods branding all find a natural home in this typeface. When a project needs genuine attitude baked into its letterforms, Rose Thorns delivers without compromise. You'll find it on Creative Fabrica, ready to inject real grit into your next design.
