Chunky serifs paired with rounded letterforms create a distinctive tension in this typeface: authority without coldness. Onceupon, designed by Damai at 7NTypes, is a bold slab serif that delivers substantial presence while staying warm and approachable. Most slab serifs either read as cold geometry or resort to retro pastiche. Rather than taking either path, this typeface carves out new territory.

Book cover designs stand to gain the most from Onceupon's distinctive character. Titles leap off shelves when they carry this kind of visual confidence. Wedding invitation suites work beautifully with its balance of formality and genuine warmth. Boutique skincare packaging and cosmetic labels appreciate the structural weight alongside human approachability. T-shirt graphics and apparel logos use it to project confidence with personality intact. Greeting card designs, magazine mastheads, and editorial typography all find natural homes with this typeface. The font scales well for logotype work and holds legibility even at small sizes.

What makes this font genuinely valuable is its range. Designers tackling book projects, luxury branding systems, or niche product labels often search for one typeface that handles dual duty: conveying authority while staying accessible. Onceupon does exactly that. You'll find it on Creative Fabrica to round out your type collection.
