OldHaroldRee by Ingrimayne Type is a blackletter font that merges Old English uppercase letters with traditional lowercase forms. Based on the calligraphic structure of PhederFrack, a fraktur typeface, it swaps out the heavy Gothic capitals for an Old English aesthetic, creating interesting visual contrast within a single font file. That hybrid character stands out from more conventional blackletters and proves especially useful for designers who want genuine historic personality without committing to a completely uniform Gothic treatment throughout their work.

The font comes in two weights, which is genuinely uncommon for Old English blackletter typefaces. Having both regular and bold options gives you real flexibility in building hierarchy and emphasis across any design. You'll find it particularly useful for vintage wine and spirits labels, where Old English capitals command immediate authority without the dense weight of traditional German gothic forms. The same weight variation works equally well for Gothic book covers, formal invitations with darker sensibility, tattoo flash designs, and heritage brand packaging where detailed letterforms deserve to breathe at multiple sizes.
