Old String is a serif and script pairing that draws on traditional letterform design while maintaining a handcrafted quality throughout. The duo comes from Typebae and combines solid, well-proportioned serifs with a flowing script that recalls pen and ink work. Each font is built to work alongside the other in layouts that need visual breadth, creating a cohesive visual system that bridges classic aesthetics with contemporary design needs.

The serif carries traditional proportions with clean lines that hold their own in body text, while the script moves with grace and distinct character at display scales. Their pairing opens up specific design applications across many industries. You can use them for wedding invitation suites where the script forms graceful headlines and the serif carries body text, luxury brand identity systems that require both structural stability and expressive movement, and editorial layouts where visual hierarchy between sections matters. The combination also works well for vintage product labels, boutique cosmetics packaging, and heritage branding where a time-honored aesthetic builds credibility and trust with customers.

This font pair suits graphic designers and small brands building a complete visual identity. The duo carries enough substance to anchor a design system without feeling dated. Get Old String from Creative Fabrica.
