Nikko by Pukka De is a slab-serif typeface that marries bold geometry with sharp edges, designed for display work that needs to command attention. The typeface excels in magazine cover headlines, bold logo lockups, and luxury packaging labels where typographic weight carries the visual message. Slab serifs work as a natural middle ground in contemporary design, projecting authority while maintaining warmth that pure geometric sans-serifs can't deliver.

Angular construction gives Nikko strong graphic presence without sacrificing legibility. This makes it equally effective for restaurant brand identities, high-end product packaging design, and editorial work where you want typography to anchor the composition. Its substantial weight and geometric proportions mean it performs well across scales, from condensed layouts that maximize impact to generous whitespace where the letterforms can breathe. Designers working on type-forward campaigns benefit from this versatility, since Nikko adapts to both minimal and complex compositions without feeling forced.

The structured forms create a natural hierarchy in layouts, making it a practical choice when type needs to do real work beyond decoration. If you're building a typeface collection that covers display work thoughtfully, Nikko deserves a place. Get Nikko on Creative Fabrica to put this slab-serif to work on your next design.
