Picture an invitation suite for a destination wedding, each card's letterforms flowing like handwriting but with a designer's precision. That's the character of Mullen Hand, a digital revival of Jerry Mullen's 1953 metal typeface Repro, created by Canada Type. The digital expansion solved what metal technology couldn't: smooth connections between letters, particularly the tricky pairs of r, s, x, and z. OpenType ligatures handle these automatically in compatible software, so your text flows without manual intervention.

This script works for projects where you want handwritten warmth without losing sophistication. Wedding invitation suites, event program booklets, boutique packaging, and album covers all feel right in Mullen Hand. The open letterforms and steady rhythm give it personality, but it never reads as loose or overly casual. You have all three format options: TrueType, PostScript, and OpenType, each including the ligatures and alternates. This flexibility means you can choose based on your workflow. All three formats support an extensive language range, covering Western, Central, and Eastern European characters alongside Baltic, Turkish, and Celtic variants.

The key practical advantage: the OpenType version consolidates both fonts into a single file with intelligent substitution built in, which streamlines your workflow. That's one less thing to manage when you're juggling multiple projects. Grab Mullen Hand on Creative Fabrica and see how quickly it becomes your go-to for script work.
