Merlod vibrates with warm, hand-painted boldness. This display family, designed by Stawix, draws deep inspiration from Latin American sign-painting traditions and reimagines them for contemporary work. The typeface arrives in three distinct styles, Norme, Autre, and Queue, each with seven weights, plus a rich collection of stylistic alternates that open up creative possibilities and help you push the letterforms into unexpected territory.

You'd reach for Merlod for vintage poster designs that genuinely need real character and presence, to label craft brewery bottles and artisanal product packaging with genuine personality, to headline retro bar or restaurant menus with authentic flair, or to bring visual energy to indie bookstore displays and graphic novel covers. What makes the family work across these different contexts is that the three styles maintain a cohesive underlying voice while each brings its own distinct personality to the table. The generous range of weights means you can adjust intensity and visual hierarchy without ever needing to switch typefaces.

Pair Merlod thoughtfully with a clean, understated sans-serif for body copy so the display work stays in sharp focus. You can download the complete family on Creative Fabrica whenever you're ready to build something truly bold.
