Melda has a warm, approachable personality that feels both contemporary and inviting. Created by Pukka De, this slab serif strikes the balance between modern and friendly without sacrificing character or readability. The chunky, confident serifs give it presence on any page, while the thoughtfully rounded letterforms and slightly refined proportions keep it from feeling blunt or dated.

You'll find Melda works beautifully for wedding invitation suites where you want something distinct and memorable rather than defaulting to the usual script choices. It shines equally well on boutique skincare packaging labels, artisanal food branding projects, and editorial headers where you need a typeface that commands attention without becoming theatrical. Event posters, independent bookstore displays, handmade signage, and coffee shop menus all benefit from its confident yet approachable demeanor. The font carries a vintage-modern sensibility that reads as equally comfortable in classic and contemporary work, which is rare enough to matter.

Pair Melda with a clean, geometric sans-serif for body copy and supporting text, and you have a pairing that carries through both print and digital applications. Getting Melda on Creative Fabrica gives you instant access to a typeface built to bring genuine personality to projects that might otherwise disappear into the visual noise.
