Picture an indie designer sitting down to create a poster for a local band. They need strong typography that speaks much louder than clean minimalism. Enter Makenzie, a slab-serif typeface by Pukka De that carries its angular geometry like a calling card. The angular play built into this design gives it real personality, a typeface that refuses to blend into the background. Makenzie has a distinct voice all its own.

Makenzie shines in work that demands visual presence: wedding invitation suites with actual character, boutique menu headers, handmade product packaging that catches the eye on Etsy shop shelves, and vintage-modern signage for independent retailers. The geometric edges and confident serifs give these applications a contemporary yet grounded feel. It reads distinctly at large sizes, which makes it especially effective for headline work and display typography where subtlety isn't the goal. The typeface carries enough presence to anchor a layout without requiring additional supporting elements to do the heavy lifting.

If you're building a typographic system for a design-forward brand or packaging line, this is the kind of typeface that solves the "we need something distinctive but not gimmicky" problem. Grab Makenzie on Creative Fabrica and add it to your growing toolkit.
