You're setting up a new craft brewery or upscale restaurant, and the identity needs to feel both grounded and distinctive. Maeyda, a slab serif by Pukka De, brings a sturdy character that holds its own in logos and brand marks without feeling corporate or stiff. The typeface works equally well at headline sizes for restaurant menus, in labels for artisanal or luxury product packaging, and in social media graphics where bold, readable type catches attention immediately.

What sets Maeyda apart is how each character carries distinct, thoughtful proportions. Rather than relying on formulaic weight changes, the font's letterforms speak for themselves with personality, making it a natural fit for boutique coffee labels, editorial magazine headers, and hospitality branding collateral. The slab construction gives it stability and warmth, while maintaining clarity even when scaled down to smaller sizes like business cards or secondary branding elements.

Slab serifs have made a real comeback in contemporary design because they bridge the gap between classic typography and modern sensibility, and Maeyda sits perfectly in that space. It performs with character at any size, so you can use it for large signage, product packaging, and fine print alike.
