There's a genuine warmth baked into Maccray that makes it feel hand-drawn without sacrificing legibility. Pukka De designed this slab serif to lead with personality, deliberately stepping away from the cold geometry of modern sans serifs while keeping every letter crisp and functional. The expanded character set means you've got accents and special symbols ready to go, no workarounds needed.

This typeface finds its stride on briefs where personality is non-negotiable: bakery and cafe branding, artisanal product label suites, indie book covers with distinctive chapter headings, or event poster layouts built to stop scrolling. Its balanced weight performs well across headline sizes and the friendly stroke terminals prevent it from reading as corporate or heavy. Because it straddles the gap between decorative and utilitarian, it works in contexts where a standard serif might feel fussy and a plain sans might feel cold.

Pair it with a clean sans serif like Inter for body text, letting the slab serif do the heavy lifting on headlines while the sans handles supporting copy. The contrast gives structure to your layouts without sacrificing warmth. You can find Maccray on Creative Fabrica whenever you're ready to build.
