Mabel, designed by Pukka De, is a slab serif that channels playful geometric energy and warmth throughout its character set. The letterforms balance boldness with real friendliness, anchored by chunky squared serifs that command visual attention without slipping into heaviness or unnecessary rigidity. This typeface performs powerfully as a headline while keeping enough personality and character to feel intentional and carefully designed rather than generic or off-the-shelf.

The font delivers real range across projects that need character without pretension or unnecessary complexity. Restaurant menus and coffee shop signage gain immediate warmth from Mabel's presence, while vintage poster designs find authentic visual voice in its contemporary-retro sensibility. Wedding invitation headers showcase it beautifully, as do craft project labels and Etsy product packaging where visual distinctiveness truly matters to building a cohesive brand identity. The sturdy geometric construction maintains solid legibility whether you're setting large display headlines or smaller decorative text applications throughout your design work.

Designers building identity systems for boutiques, craft makers, and independent retailers will find Mabel a reliable workhorse. Anyone seeking that contemporary-meets-classic aesthetic has found exactly what they need. Mabel is available on Creative Fabrica.
