This is a typeface built to genuinely unsettle. Haunted Mountain, designed by Creative Fabrica Fonts, is a blackletter with jagged serifs and towering letterforms that hit like a threat rather than a whisper. The narrow columns and sharp angles work together to convey menace and weight without leaning on ornament. It feels historical and dangerous at once.

Heavy metal album covers and horror movie title sequences are natural fits, but this typeface excels in more subtle contexts too. Gothic fantasy book covers, haunted house promotional campaigns, occult skincare or apothecary packaging, and spooky event posters all gain from the way Haunted Mountain lands type like a warning. Its medieval blackletter structure carries instant gravitas. What makes it work across these different applications is the restraint built into the letterforms. They have enough attitude to carry dark themes without becoming so ornate they sacrifice legibility or feel trapped in a specific era.

Pair it with something quiet and clean (a humanist sans-serif or simple serif) when you need contrast for body text or secondary information. The tension between Haunted Mountain's aggression and softer, friendlier letterforms actually strengthens both. You'll find it on Creative Fabrica, where you can add this singular darkness to your next project.
