Imagine designing an ambitious record sleeve for an indie music label or creating a poster for a contemporary art exhibition. You'd want something with clean geometry and visual presence without being heavy-handed. That's Halis Grotesque, created by Ahmet Altun, a display typeface that brings purposeful simplicity to wherever you need it. The name itself reflects the designer's core intention: "pure, clean" in Turkish.

The family offers eight weights in both regular and italic, plus small caps across all variations. You also get an alternative ampersand and the Turkish Lira sign, both refined by the renowned typographer Halis Biçer, to whom this font is dedicated. The letterforms maintain solid readability even when set at smaller sizes, thanks to their generous letter spacing and well-balanced proportions. This makes the typeface ideal for album covers, luxury packaging labels, boutique event posters, and graphic novel covers, all places where both detail and visual impact matter.

It performs equally well in print and on screen across book jackets, menus for specialty restaurants, website headers, and high-end product catalogs. The consistent weight structure keeps everything feeling cohesive across different applications. The italic versions excel at adding emphasis to headlines without looking forced.
