Gothy Black by Tegaki takes the dramatic weight and architectural angles of traditional blackletter letterforms, then streamlines them for genuine readability. Where classic gothic typefaces feel nearly impenetrable, this one strips away the decorative excess while keeping every stroke bold and unmistakably heavy. The result lands somewhere between medieval manuscript and contemporary streetwear, with four distinct style variations (regular, brush, slant, and brush slant) that give you real flexibility for logo design, layered lettering work, and display-heavy compositions.

The font excels on specific jobs: dark and moody band posters and gig flyers, occult bookstore window signage, tattoo-inspired apparel labels and merchandise tags, and goth-inflected product packaging for candles, incense, or niche beauty brands. Its weight makes it strong enough to carry a headline on its own, but the four variations mean you can stack styles or swap weights for deeper visual interest. The brush versions add tactile texture without sacrificing legibility, which matters when your text actually needs to be read by an audience.

This typeface suits designers building alternative brand identities, horror-themed book or album covers, or any project that demands visual intensity alongside clarity. Head to Creative Fabrica when you're ready to add it to your font library.
