CS Algert, created by Craft Supply Co., reimagines blackletter through a distinctly contemporary lens. The weighted strokes and angular geometry are unmistakably rooted in Gothic tradition, but the ornate letterwork has been refined to feel modern and intentional rather than purely historical pastiche. Each character carries that signature blackletter gravitas with a visual clarity that makes it viable for contemporary design work beyond period pieces.

The typeface earns its place when you need real presence. Wedding invitation suites benefit from its formal elegance, vintage-style product labels gain authentic character, band merchandise and music branding get the edge they're after, and formal event materials feel genuinely sophisticated. The ornate details carry weight without becoming clutter or feeling overwrought. This is the kind of typeface that makes intentional design choices visible in the finished work, not buried under decoration.

Best suited for designers working on luxury positioning or high-stakes projects where a single typeface needs to carry significant visual authority, CS Algert holds its own from display headlines down to moderate text sizes. The letterforms maintain their character across applications, staying crisp when set large or stacking densely. Find it on Creative Fabrica when you're ready to add it to your toolkit.
