Picture designing a vintage-inspired coffee brand identity or a high-end bakery sign. Chicory, created by moonlight craft, is a slab-serif typeface that thrives in display work. Its confident serifs and bold letterforms deliver presence and character without ever feeling clunky, making it equally at home in retro design contexts and contemporary branding scenarios.

Magazine headlines and editorial covers benefit significantly from its weight and distinctive personality. The font handles boutique retail signage, luxury packaging design, restaurant menu headers, and vintage poster projects with genuine style. It works remarkably well for grunge-inspired album artwork, tech startup branding, and handmade craft labels where you need authentic character that reads neither as purely nostalgic nor aggressively trendy. The typeface performs surprisingly well at both display and smaller sizes, giving you real flexibility when you need a single font that manages headlines and functional body text in a project.

What makes Chicory particularly useful is how its proportions stay legible and engaging across different scales. At headline size it reveals impressive personality and detail; at smaller dimensions it maintains clarity and presence without losing character.
