Bohren by Anto (7NTypes) is a massive slab serif with distressed edges and vintage-industrial character that refuses to whisper. Its thick, block letterforms carry the visual weight of typefaces built for commanding presence, whether at poster scale, bold headlines, or package fronts that need to stop people in their tracks. The worn texture and slight distressing give it authenticity without feeling like a worn-out revival.

Projects this font serves best are those where you need type to lead. Craft brewery labels competing for shelf space, band posters announcing tours and venue shows, bookstore window displays with classic appeal, and boutique packaging for artisanal goods all benefit from Bohren's unforgiving presence. Its blocky geometry translates well to vintage event invitations, DIY record store signage, and retro menu design where that mid-century grittiness serves the whole aesthetic. Even on small applications, it maintains personality and legibility.

What sets Bohren apart is its refusal to be subtle. The slab serif structure keeps letterforms readable no matter the size, while the distressed finish adds character to projects that might otherwise feel slick or contemporary. Grab it from Creative Fabrica if you need a typeface that looks equally at home on a vintage storefront or a modern brand taking cues from the past.
