This typeface grabs you by the collar with raw, unapologetic attitude. Blightmark, designed by Edignwn Type, is a blackletter system built to capture the aesthetic of punk culture and DIY rebellion. It straddles the line between classical blackletter architecture and contemporary grit, combining jagged letterforms with textured ink effects that feel deliberately worn and imperfect. The whole thing reads as authentically distressed without sacrificing readability when it counts, maintaining visual weight across all contexts.

You get three separate typefaces included (Blackletter, Oblique, and Sans), each offering both Regular and Textured variants to keep your options open. Character coverage spans uppercase, lowercase, numerals, and symbols across both the blackletter and sans styles, with full multilingual support and PUA encoding built in for smooth design workflows. This technical flexibility makes Blightmark genuinely useful across band merchandise graphics, album artwork, underground poster design, and punk zine layouts where you need visual impact backed by actual substance. The distressed texture variations help you layer complexity while keeping the type readable in printed applications or digital work.

Pair it with a clean, geometric sans-serif for body copy to let Blightmark's personality dominate on display work. Find it on Creative Fabrica to bring that rebellious edge into your next project.
