Big Brush by Canada Type is a contemporary brush script designed as a modern alternative to the ubiquitous Brush Script that dominates North American signage and restaurant branding. Where that classic typeface stumbles with awkward letterforms (that notoriously problematic F, Q, and T), Big Brush refines the concept with cleaner character construction that actually works in real-world design. It trades tired familiarity for something that feels both energetic and refined, drawing from hand-lettered brush calligraphy without the distracting quirks that made its predecessor feel dated and predictable.

The typeface comes in two weights, so you can vary hierarchy and tone across a single project, layer them together, or create visual contrast between headlines and body copy without sacrificing coherence. That flexibility makes Big Brush work equally well for wedding invitation suites, boutique restaurant menu covers, vintage-style product labels, hand-painted storefront signage, and small-batch craft packaging where brush-stroke character actually shapes the impression. You get authentic hand-drawn energy without defaulting to something everyone has relied on for decades.

If you need strong, fluid calligraphy for work that demands genuine character and visual distinction, Big Brush deserves a closer look. Pick it up on Creative Fabrica and let your designs feel genuinely crafted rather than formulaic.
