There's something endearing about a typeface that refuses to pretend to be perfect. Woebegone, designed by Hanoded, was born from real pen strokes: the designer started with a Pilot pen to draw each glyph, then layered in Japanese brush strokes for added warmth and depth. The result is a typeface that looks hand-lettered in the truest sense, with all the charm and personality that brings.

This font finds its home on wedding invitation suites where you want to convey warmth and approachability instead of stiff formality, custom greeting cards made for people who appreciate genuine craft, artisanal product labels for small-batch confections or skincare lines, and business stationery for independent makers and creative studios. Every character carries the unmistakable mark of hand-drawing, which gives any layout an authenticity that purely digital typefaces struggle to achieve. People respond to that honesty; it builds trust before they even read the words.

Both Regular and Italic weights arrive with complete accent support for international use. Pair Woebegone with a clean, modern sans-serif (try Roboto or Open Sans) for body copy to let the script shine as your headline voice without visual noise. You'll find it on Creative Fabrica, ready to add real character to your designs.
