1 / 5About SWEDISH DECO JNL Font
This was an interesting experiment in typography.
A Swedish poster for the 1931 MGM film “Call of the Flesh” had the movie’s title hand lettered and printed in two colors. In order to keep the original Art Deco design intact, the thick lines of the characters were joined with hairlines simulating the secondary color.
The end result is a thick-and-thin sans serif outline font with attractive and striking contrasts within the letterforms.
This is now available as Swedish Deco JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.
