You're laying out a vintage bourbon label, and you need letterforms that feel heavy, confident, and rooted in Americana. Smuckers, designed by Almairatype Studio, is a slab serif typeface that brings exactly that sensibility to life: thick, squared serifs that anchor each character with real visual weight and presence.

The typeface pulls from college athletics and mid-century Western design, giving it a natural home in distressed sports branding, concert posters with that authentically worn aesthetic, retro diner signage, and craft brewery label design. Its blocky proportions and structured geometry make it work beautifully at display sizes where other fonts would get tangled. The textured, weathered quality is built directly into the letterforms, so you get that lived-in, authentic character without having to fake it in post-production. There's no smoothing or polishing here, just raw squared strength that reads as honest.

Because Smuckers carries that established, assured feeling, it lands well on varsity apparel graphics, vintage packaging mockups, heritage brand identities that need to feel timeless, and bold poster work. The weight holds evenly through any size, from small to headline scale, and its distressed character delivers genuine retro feel straight from the font file.
