The condensed Art Nouveau hand lettered title for the masthead of the January 4, 1908 issue of the San Francisco Dramatic Review gives the impression of horror movie titles and other such “creepy” lettering.

With this in mind, the digital recreation of this type design was aptly named Sinister Nouveau JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
