This typeface grabs you with bold presence and a confident vintage spirit. Sankara, designed by Almairatype Studio, is a slab serif that refuses to whisper into the background. Built on strong geometry and chunky letterforms, it commands attention in any layout. Every stroke carries weight, every corner definition. The retro aesthetic runs through its structure without trapping the design in any one era, making it useful for contemporary work that wants to borrow from the past. It's the kind of font you notice first.

Where does Sankara show its best work? Vintage record label designs, craft brewery packaging, restaurant menu headers, indie magazine mastheads, and bold social media graphics all showcase its confidence immediately. When you need type to function as a primary visual element (not just support text), this font steps up without hesitation. The uppercase characters especially benefit from its sturdy proportions, and the full character set means you're not limited to all-caps if you want to mix things up. Pair it with a thin or light geometric sans-serif for any body text that needs to sit alongside it, creating breathing room and contrast on the page. Get this from Creative Fabrica when you're building a project that deserves this kind of retro punch.
