You're designing a vinyl banner for a fitness studio, and you need bold letterforms that read from across the room without looking corporate. Quartell Variable from NREY does this beautifully: a slab serif with genuine weight and character that shines for everything from outdoor signage to social media headers.

This typeface sits at the intersection of retro and contemporary, which is why it's found its way into product label design and boutique brand identities. The slab serifs give it a confident, grounded feel, while the quirky proportions keep it from feeling overdone. You'll find it performs equally well at small sizes for Etsy product labels or at large scales for event poster work. Since it's variable, you can dial in the exact weight your project needs, hitting any balance between maximum impact and subtle refinement.

When you need a strong focal point for custom sign work or craft brewery rebrands, Quartell steps up. Strong letterforms command attention without sacrificing readability, which matters when someone's scanning a menu or a storefront. Grab it from Creative Fabrica and you'll see why it's become a go-to for designers working on retro-leaning identity systems.
