Proposición 141 is an ornamental calligraphic typeface developed from the handwriting found on a parchment diploma issued by the House of Representatives of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia on November 5, 1984. The document was a posthumous recognition to Dr. José Antonio Vargas Ríos, my father, who was murdered in a State crime that, to this day, remains unpunished and largely forgotten. This typeface is both a quiet yet firm act of remembrance and a call for justice.

The project began with the solemn, elegant letterforms of the original document, written with a broad nib pen. Each stroke was carefully studied, reinterpreted, and digitized, preserving the organic flow and formal grace of traditional calligraphy while adapting it for contemporary digital use.
