Picture yourself designing a menu for a retro burger joint, or maybe packaging for a craft brewery when you spot a slab serif that just clicks. Orrick, built by creativetacos, brings the kind of weight and presence that works across large headlines and smaller text blocks with equal confidence. What makes this font stick with you is how it manages to feel both solid and approachable at the same time.

This three-weight typeface lives in that sweet spot between contemporary and vintage sensibility. Restaurant menus and wine labels, beer packaging and craft brewery branding, vintage book covers and handcrafted product boxes all benefit from its strong, geometric letterforms. Slab serifs carry a certain authority, and Orrick leans into that without coming across as cold or corporate. There's a grounded quality that stays timeless without feeling dated, even when you pair it with decidedly modern design sensibilities and clean layouts.

With three weights to work with (light, regular, and bold), you can build visual hierarchy and contrast without reaching for another typeface. Orrick holds up beautifully across the full range, from oversized display work down to smaller supporting text, making it a genuine asset for anyone building flexible design systems or cohesive brand identities.
