This script's bold, sketch-based letterforms balance genuine handmade warmth with modern, clean execution. Nelda, designed by Showuptype, brings real personality to any brand work without the fussy, dated feeling that undermines so many decorative scripts. The thick-and-thin stroke contrast moves with energy and bounce, making letters readable at headline sizes while staying expressive and lively enough for ambitious designs.

The font shines on wedding invitation suites, brand logos for boutique packaging, DIY craft signage, and greeting card designs. It's equally at home on artisan product labels and independent cosmetics branding, anywhere a design needs a human touch that still reads deliberate and crafted. With 311 glyphs and 131 alternate characters, Nelda offers substantial depth to explore and customize. The OpenType features include ligatures, contextual alternates, stylistic sets, and swash variations, all accessible through Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. This means you can swap letter combinations on the fly, creating different visual effects without changing typefaces entirely. The breadth of alternates lets you build consistency across a project while keeping each element visually distinct. Best for designers building cohesive brand systems and anyone creating personal work rather than corporate projects, Nelda is available on Creative Fabrica.
