Designing a luxury wedding invitation requires choosing a script that feels both personal and sophisticated. Mulan, created by Gatype, delivers exactly that combination: it merges the flowing grace of classical calligraphy with contemporary sensibility, performing beautifully across both print and digital work.

Mulan excels in design contexts where refinement and polish matter. Boutique cosmetics packaging, handwritten-style greeting cards and announcements, bespoke wedding invitations, and artisan product labels that need a polished hand-drawn feel all benefit from its letterforms. The typeface was built with OpenType features including contextual alternates and stylistic variations for most lowercase letters, which means each word flows naturally and reads as intentional rather than template-driven. You get multiple weights to work with, plus comprehensive language support, so adapting the font across different design projects and international markets remains straightforward.

At large display sizes, Mulan reveals its full character: each stroke and curve becomes visible, detailed, and refined. The stylistic alternates give you control over how repeated letters appear throughout your work, letting you add genuine hand-drawn authenticity that audiences respond to and trust. Pick it up on Creative Fabrica, and you've got a sophisticated script ready for refined projects from early concept all the way through final production.
