There's an instant sense of play and nostalgia the moment you see this typeface. Metric Badway, designed by IqsiartStudio, is a slab-serif display font that pairs geometric confidence with a distinctly groovy, hand-drawn sensibility. The rounded edges and organic stroke variations give it a weathered, lived-in quality that recalls vintage chalk lettering, painted tropical signage, or the kind of typeface you'd find on a sun-faded diner menu from 1975.

This font shines on tropical resort menus, indie game title screens, retro concert posters, and craft brewery bottle labels where personality matters more than corporate polish. The rough, textured edges work equally well on graffiti-inspired wall designs and summer festival flyers where you want the lettering itself to feel like a design statement. Comic book speech bubbles, playful product sticker labels, and beach-themed branding all benefit from its approachable energy. The slab-serif foundation keeps it legible at any size while the groovy character prevents it from sliding into stiffness.

Pair Metric Badway with a clean, minimal sans-serif for body text to create contrast and let the display font do the heavy lifting. Head to Creative Fabrica to add it to your library.
